A photograph of John Hooper's sculpture "Balancing" in downtown Ottawa

Countless people have climbed, jumped, been photographed and generally monkeyed-around on John Hooper's “Balancing” sculpture. And that's exactly how he intended for this piece of public art to be used.

The sculpture is representative of the diverse people who live in our capital city. The name “Balancing” refers not only to the balance beam but also seems to speak to the need to find balance in our society.

Do you have a great picture of your friends posing on the statue? Share it with us!
