Irving Rivers

24 Byward Market

Écrit par le Musée Bytown le 03-déc.-2009

A photograph of Irving Rivers in Lowertown

The Byward Market is awash with chic boutiques, specialty food stores and trendy clubs. But part of its charm remains with the smaller, family-owned shops that continue to thrive despite the gentrification of the area.

In their own words, Irving Rivers has “cornered the market” since 1946. Their stock, so plentiful that it actually hangs from the ceiling, includes everything from military wear and camping gear to flip-flops and flags. If you've ever looked through their front window, you'll know what we mean.

How long have you been shopping at Irving Rivers?
